The Alfa Romeo Spider (Type 939) is a two-seater with a canvas roof derived from the Brera. His Pininfarina design is based on Giugiaro’s for the Brera. It was introduced at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show, where it also received the “Convertible of the Year” award. The Spider is the two-seater convertible variant of the Brera, which replaces the Spider 916, introduced to the market in 1995. At first there were two engines available: the 2.2 JTS and the 3.2 JTS; and the 2.4 JTD was introduced at the 2007 Geneva Motor Show. This version of the Spider can be seen as the sixth generation of the Alfa Romeo Spider, the first of which was launched in 1966. In 2009, just like the Brera received a reduction in weight and two new engines, a 1742 cm³ (1.7 liter) TBi petrol inline four cylinder with 200 hp (197 HP; 147 kW) and a 1956 cm³ (2 liter) inline four-cylinder Diesel ) JTDm that produces 170 PS (168 HP; 125 kW).
