The Toyota 4Runner is a mid-size SUV manufactured by Toyota and sold worldwide from 1984 to the present. In Japan it is known as the Toyota Hilux Surf. The original 4Runner was a compact off-roader and little more than a Hilux pickup equipped with a fiberglass rear seat and roof, but the model has undergone significant independent development at a cross between a compact-size and a midsize SUV ( segment F). All 4Runners have been built at the Toyota plant in Tahara, or at the Hino Motors plant in Hamura, both in Japan. Some rivals of the 4Runner are the Mitsubishi Montero Sport and the Nissan Pathfinder. The fourth generation is when the third row of seats were integrated, something that the 4Runner shares is its rear window with the Toyota Sequoia that can be lowered like the sides and it is something The only one of the two models. The 4Runner is a great truck that went from being an off-road to a sports car
