The Toyota Yaris is a B-segment car produced by the Japanese manufacturer Toyota. There are three generations, launched in 1999, 2005 and 2011 available with three- and five-door hatchbacks and four-door sedan bodies. The first generation was voted Car of the Year in Europe in 2000.
Depending on the market, generation and bodywork, the model is named Yaris, Belta, Echo, Platz, Vios or Vitz. The design is not identical in all countries for a given generation, with clear differences for the Asian, Australian, European and American markets. The hatchback model in America is known as the Yaris Sport.
The engines are usually 1.0, 1.3 and 1.5-liter petrol and 1.4-liter diesel, although there are other specific ones for certain countries, such as a 130 hp 1.8-liter petrol for the European Yaris II and a 1.5-liter petrol with turbocharger. and intercooler with 156 hp as maximum power for the Toyota Vitz RS in the Asian market.
